Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Summary (the short version)
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We use cookies for analytics (so we know which pages people read) and Amazon affiliate tracking (so we get credit for sales we drive).
- Your “Saved” items live only in your browser's local storage. We never see them.
- You can email us anytime to delete any data we hold about you.
What we collect
Automatic data via Google Analytics: page views, referrer, approximate location (city level, IP-anonymized), device type, browser, time on page. Used to understand which content people find useful.
Affiliate cookies: When you click a “Buy on Amazon” link, Amazon sets their own cookies on your browser. We never see those cookies. Amazon uses them to credit us for any purchase you make in the next 24 hours. See Amazon's privacy notice.
Email (only if you sign up for the newsletter): we collect your email and send you weekly deal updates. Unsubscribe link in every email.
Feedback form: uses your default email client to send a message to us. We see whatever you choose to put in the email.
Saved items: stored entirely in your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit, store, or have any access to your saved items.
What we don't collect
- We do not collect your name, address, payment info, or login credentials. There is nothing to log into.
- We do not use third-party advertising networks (no Google Ads, no Facebook Pixel, no retargeting cookies).
- We do not sell or rent any data to anyone.
- We do not have a “profile” for you. We literally couldn't identify you across visits unless you submit the contact form.
Who we share data with
Only these third parties:
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Sees IP addresses + standard server logs.
- Cloudflare — our DNS provider. Same as above.
- Google Analytics — anonymized page-view data with IP truncation.
- Amazon — when you click a Buy on Amazon link, you're going to Amazon. Standard browser referrer behavior applies.
Your rights
You can:
- Disable cookies in your browser to opt out of analytics. The site will still work fine.
- Use a private/incognito window for fully untracked browsing.
- Email us at privacy@lifetimepicks.com to request deletion of any data, including newsletter unsubscribe (for EU/CA residents covered by GDPR/CCPA, this is your formal request channel).
Children
Lifetime Picks is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
